Live Research
Would you like to contribute to research efforts? On April 18 & 19, before the FDRS 2024 conference, LF will be partnering with LymphaTech to collect 3-D digital measurements of people with Lipedema. The goal is to gather data that could contribute to a better understanding of the disease. Participants should receive a copy of their measurements.
If you have Lipedema and are able to come to the Marriott St. Louis Airport Hotel, we invite you to sign up and participate. Prior diagnosis is not required. A clinical exam, conducted solely for the purpose of this research study, will be part of the research experience.
Participants will need to disrobe prior to participating in the study, and changing areas will be available. To expedite the process, please come to your assigned time slot without compression if possible.
Having undergone liposuction in the past does not prohibit your ability to participate in this study.
Lipedema Photoshoot
You can help support awareness efforts! A professional photographer will be capturing additional photos for our SmugMug Photo Library, which currently features over 500 photos showcasing Lipedema. These pictures may be used to support education efforts beyond LF, such as clinician presentations and news articles. We welcome all individuals who are living with Lipedema to participate. We are particularly interested in obtaining photos of people of color, trans individuals, men, those with Stage I or II, and/or those with Type 1 and Type V, as our goal is to enhance the diversity of our photo library. Help us raise awareness worldwide by contributing to the photo library and helping us visually showcase the full spectrum of Lipedema!
Photoshoot participants should wear conservative, black, opaque bras and panties.
Photos will be anonymized prior to publication (heads and faces will be cropped and tattoos will be blurred).

This form will be used to assign check-in time slots for those interested in participating in research prior to the FDRS 2024 conference. The time slots are for check-in only and do not represent the length of time necessary to participate in research. We anticipate it will take approximately 45 minutes to participate in live research for 2024.
An email confirming your time slot will be sent from registry@lipedema.org within three (3) days.
