Lipedema Research Sample Sources - Available Now

The Lipedema Foundation has launched its own biobank, with samples and associated data available to qualified investigators, including LF-funded researcher. Researchers can request samples and/or data from individuals with Lipedema as well as control participants. The biobank includes cryopreserved PBMCs, plasma, and DNA paired with comprehensive survey and clinical data contributed by participants and clinicians. Additional sample types are being collected, including lipoaspirate and FFPE tissue, with fresh remnant surgical tissue expected to be incorporated this year. Urine is also available for a subset of participants.
