Lipedema Research Idea Database

Lipedema is a complicated condition, and there are many ideas and hypotheses that the Lipedema Research Roadmap does not capture.

The Lipedema Foundation’s Lipedema Research Idea Database is a living tool to view research questions, ideas, and hypotheses, and a mechanism for submitting new ideas.

As we are still in a time of early discovery, we believe there is value in capturing and disseminating a vast array of ideas. We hope that this database can contribute inspiration and drive future innovation in research and to this end, we are currently thinking about ways we can drive these ideas out into the research field more proactively.

The Database

Please note: the Lipedema Foundation is not a medical provider. The ideas in this database are not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health care provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition or treatment and before undertaking any new health care regimen.

The Lipedema Foundation cannot verify the original source of ideas. If you believe you have been "scooped", please reach out to us at roadmap@lipedema.org and we will review items of concern.

New Submissions

Please submit research hypotheses, questions, and ideas through the submission form:

Anonymized submissions will appear on the public database above. Please submit only one research question, idea, or hypothesis per form submission. If someone else has already submitted your idea to the database, please do not submit it again.

Please note: At this time, we do not have the capacity to provide feedback about submitted research ideas.
